The hotel offers a mix of positives like nice, clean rooms with very comfortable beds, but there are some drawbacks such as small, worn-out rooms needing renovation. The rooms come fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, down to a shoe horn in the cupboard. The price is £188 per night.

Rooms

I found the room to be nice and clean, and the bed was indeed very comfortable. However, I have to agree that the room was quite small and looked worn-out, definitely in need of a complete renovation. Despite that, it had all the essentials, even surprising details like a shoe horn in the cupboard.
Service
9.0
The staff were all friendly at every point of contact, making the experience pleasant. They even helped us carry our luggage from the pick-up point to the top floor using two elevators. The fabulous 'Norwegian' breakfast buffet was a highlight, but it was a shame they didn't have sour cream available. In terms of services, they offer room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and a welcome drink.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is typical of better hotels, being ideal and central. The bus conveniently stops right outside, and it's within walking distance to the lively part of town near the water with lots of dining options. The view from the front of the hotel is really nice, and it's great for those wanting to visit the Pulpit Rock.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was enjoyable overall, with a comprehensive international food selection. However, the scrambled eggs made from powder and water were a miss. The included breakfast had a variety of options, from fresh fruit to fried eggs, although the quality could be improved. On a positive note, the seasoned fries were world-famous.
Facilities
The facilities were decent, offering what you would expect from a standard hotel. It would benefit from some updates and improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.

The hotel is ideally situated right by the lake in the town center, offering spacious and comfortable rooms with stunning views. Though lacking tea-making facilities in some rooms, the overall experience is pleasant. The property could benefit from a refurbishment to enhance the furniture and carpet. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff making guests feel welcome and remembered. The dining options are satisfactory, particularly for breakfast. The location scores high for proximity to the vibrant part of town near the water, ideal for business or leisure travelers.

My stay at the Atlantic Hotel was delightful overall. The rooms, although cozy and comfortable, felt a bit smaller than expected, especially considering the fantastic view of the fjords, cliffs, and the harbor. The bathroom was excellent and very fresh, but I would have preferred more bed space. The location was superb, right in the city center with easy access to transportation. The service was mostly friendly, adding value to my enjoyable stay, but there were some mixed experiences with the front desk staff. The dining options were good, but I wished they stayed open a bit longer. Overall, a pleasant experience with a few minor drawbacks.

I was a bit disappointed with the extra charge for bringing my dog without prior notice, and the room facing the road behind the hotel was not ideal. The hotel offers rooms that are okay but a little small, with a good view of the lakelet. The age of the rooms is starting to show, with signs of wear and tear, especially in the bathroom. The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the center of Stavanger making it easy to walk to the harbor and close to the old town. The rooms, although small and dark, did come with a sauna and a large soaking bath tub after a day of hiking, yet lacked comfort with old furniture and poor lighting. The service was friendly and helpful, offering various amenities, and the breakfast was standard but included fresh options. Overall, a convenient choice for both business and leisure travelers.
